The Tendernob neighborhood sits at the intersection between Lower Nob Hill and the upper Tenderloin, blending both adjacent neighborhoods into a special place all its own. Great restaurants, bars and coffee shops are sprinkled among urban apartments where many young professionals live. The neighborhood has a dense urban feel and offers residents great places to eat and socialize, easy access to public transportation (Powell Street BART) and is within close proximity to both downtown and the Van Ness corridor. Its approximately 14,000 residents are both ethnically and economically diverse and sway liberal, like much of San Francisco. More than 90 percent of residents are renters and while only five percent of the neighborhood are families with children, the public schools in close by Lower Nob Hill are consistently rated above average.

The preserved historic architecture of beautifully remodeled apartment buildings line the streets of the Tendernob. For example, 1060 Bush, a historic Art Deco building, retains the vintage charms of the era, with neoclassical pillars, marble flooring, spacious lobby and an elevator. Well appointed, modern pet-friendly apartments, have classic and updated floors and lighting fixtures, plus double hung windows and ample closets. Bathrooms are tastefully updated, and kitchens features sleek cabinets and stainless-steel appliances and dishwashers.

Residents have only a few blocks to walk to 708 Bush Street to reach Sons & Daughters, where they can have an amazing celebratory meal. The upscale restaurant offers one of the Bay area’s best tasting menus and is perfect for a special occasion or date night. Another couple blocks away is the delicious and affordable Del Popolo Pizza at 855 Bush. The woodfired pizza is a favorite to many and the wine list is good, too.

Other properties such as 825 Post and 1040 Sutter are pet-friendly and in the heart of the San Francisco’s Tendernob.
